Description

OECS ministers of education first commissioned this curriculum-harmonisation work in 1990; curriculum writing, in partnership with Grenada, began in 2023. It was soft-launched on 7 February 2025 at the Ministry's office in St. John's by Education Minister Daryll Matthew, with an official launch ceremony on 14 November 2025.
The platform includes personalised teacher workspaces, multimedia tools, and both online and offline access. Its central AI feature is 'Pearl', an assistant that helps teachers navigate the system and build lesson plans matched to the concepts being taught and to individual student levels and needs, including accommodations for students with ADHD. The pilot spans 11 named primary schools across four zones: Greenbay, Jennings, S.R. Olivia David, Pares, Parham, Nelvie N Gore, J.T. Ambrose, Sea View Farm, C.T. Samuel, Mary E. Pigott and Cedar Grove.
As of launch, coverage is descriptive and ministry-reported, based on an 11-school pilot; a full assessment rollout across all public and private schools is planned for 2026, and no independent evaluation of learning outcomes from the AI-assisted lesson planning has yet been published.
