Lejre Municipality (Denmark, pop. 29,600) used Go Vocal's Sensemaking AI to categorise resident feedback for its Municipal Plan across 49 villages. About 1 in 7 residents joined the online discussion.
Lejre Kommune, a rural municipality of about 29,600 people west of Copenhagen, ran a citizen-engagement process for its Municipal Plan covering all 49 villages, combining in-person town meetings with the Vores Lejre digital participation platform. For the digital component, Lejre used Go Vocal's Sensemaking feature, an AI tool that automatically categorises and surfaces key points from open-ended resident submissions.
Per the vendor case study, roughly one in seven residents (~14% of the population) took part in the online discussions. A municipal planner is quoted saying the tool could 'take 100 inputs, identify the key points, and then we could very easily move them into the political material' prepared for the council.
Lejre Kommune's own website separately confirms it considers the Kommuneplan 2025 citizen-involvement process a success, crediting the combination of physical and digital engagement, though it does not itself detail the AI component.
No independently audited figures on time saved, summary accuracy, or data-handling safeguards specific to this deployment have been published; the primary account of the AI tool's role comes from the vendor's own case study rather than an independent evaluation.
