Context

Technopark Zurich opened in 1993 on a former industrial site in Zurich-West, becoming Switzerland's first dedicated platform for transferring science into the market; it exists so that ETH Zurich, its largest tenant, can move research into companies while the university itself focuses on basic research, and its buildings are owned by Swiss Life and the Zurcher Kantonalbank.
