Since 2008 Digital Green has trained community mediators to make and screen short farming videos in local languages, reaching 2.3 million+ farmers across 10 countries, 77% of them women. Two peer-reviewed randomised trials tested whether it works. In Ethiopia, adoption of the promoted practices rose 6 percentage points over a 64% baseline and attendance at extension sessions rose 17 points, but yields did not improve significantly and knowledge gains faded by the second year. In Bihar, India, there was no statistically significant effect on adoption in the first year. Evidoria scores the practice 96/100, the highest of the food security practices it has evaluated; that score reflects documented reach and the quality of the evidence, not a demonstrated effect on harvests.
