Context

ConexionLab, a programme of Conexion ICCO Cooperacion supported by IDB Lab, closes the digital-skills gap for young people in historically excluded rural Bolivia via the 'Miska Mobile School' - a solar-powered mobile unit with laptops and a portable satellite antenna delivering basic, intermediate and advanced digital training where fixed broadband does not exist.

Results

The 'Mujer Rural JunteX' sub-stream convened 100 rural women in technology leadership and professional networking (figures verified by Swissinfo and IDB Lab). From 2025 the Miska model is being replicated in the Bolivian Amazon and Central America with EDUCO, reaching children aged 10-14, teachers and parents across 22 educational units in La Paz.
