Elevate AIDA — Connected Women's AI Data-Annotation Training Pathway for Marginalised Filipinas

Elevate AIDA is a training-to-employment pathway run by the Philippine social enterprise Connected Women, teaching AI data-annotation skills — data labelling, image identification and data cleaning used to train machine-learning models — to women facing barriers to formal employment: full-time mothers, elderly women, domestic helpers, displaced overseas Filipino workers, women with disabilities and single mothers.
The programme has grown from 60 trainees during the COVID-19 pandemic to more than 2,400 "digitally competent and job-ready" women by July 2026, with over 1,100 graduates specialising in AI data work as of March 2026. In 2024, Connected Women became the first organisation to receive a TESDA "Big Data Analytics" programme-recognition certificate, and it signed agreements with the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Philippine Commission on Women and the Aboitiz Foundation targeting 300,000 women trained in AI/ML skills within eight years; Meta is a training partner.
Reported outcomes include participants moving from zero income to regular paid work, with organisers citing average daily earnings of around ₱600 for graduates placed in AI-training gigs — self-reported programme figures rather than an independent impact evaluation.
