Context
Ghana's Parliament approved a US$200 million World Bank-financed Digital Acceleration Project in 2023 to expand broadband access with an explicit focus on women, rural communities and persons with disabilities, procuring assistive and accessible-computing equipment under the project.
Results
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection announced in December 2025 that 338 desktop computers, 154 laptops, 220 accessible software packages, and Braille displays and encoders had been distributed to persons with disabilities.
