Description

On 7 April 2025, Kuwait's Ministry of Education launched "Chat with Hamad" (also referred to as Ma'a Hamad Chat), an AI-powered communication and support service built by the Ministry's own Information Systems Department.

The service lets students, teachers, parents, ministry staff and the general public ask questions and receive answers sourced from approved curriculum content via an internal "Student Library," with users able to specify their class, semester and subject to get tailored responses; a specialised team reviews outputs for quality and accuracy. It supports multiple languages and local dialects, and is organised into sections for teachers and administrators, students and parents, and general school information.

The Ministry frames the tool as a complement to, not a replacement for, textbooks, intended to ease understanding of curriculum content, improve academic achievement, and support distance learning and administrative communication.

As of publication, Kuwaiti press coverage (KUNA via Kuwait Times and Arab Times) documents the service's launch, features and stated purpose, but no usage statistics, satisfaction data or independent evaluation of its effect on communication efficiency or learning outcomes has been published.
