Description

On 10 October 2025, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) launched 'Mostaqbali' ('My Future') in partnership with Oracle and the National eLearning Center (NELC). Delivered through the national eLearning platform FutureX, the programme offers 23 training tracks totalling 300 hours, covering artificial intelligence alongside cloud computing, databases and other digital specialties, and awards recognised professional certificates on completion.
MCIT describes Mostaqbali as open to Saudi nationals 'from students just entering the workforce to working professionals,' with a stated focus on women and early-career professionals, and targets 50,000 participants. Oracle, the platform's technology partner, frames the goal as helping 'empower employees across sectors to harness data and make informed decisions,' per CEO Osama El-Kady. The initiative sits inside Saudi Arabia's wider strategy - led by the Saudi Data and AI Authority with the Ministries of Education and Human Resources - to train 1 million citizens in AI skills.
As a programme that launched only in October 2025, Mostaqbali has no independent completion, employment or skills-outcome data yet, and published descriptions of its curriculum do not mention ethics, fairness or data-protection content - a gap worth watching as the programme scales toward its 50,000-citizen target and beyond.
