Program Leading to the Top

Women On Top (WoT), a Greek NGO founded in 2012, promotes women's economic empowerment and workplace equality through mentoring, training and networking. Its "Leading to the Top" workshop series, run with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, targets women in corporate roles, entrepreneurship and self-employment with 3-15 years of experience.

Build leadership skills such as negotiation, change management, career planning, emotional intelligence and high-performance team management, and expand into financial literacy through the 2024 "Economics Courses" cycle for women aged 18 and over.

Participants attend standalone seminars or the full series and receive a certificate on completion; WoT also runs mentoring partnerships, skills camps with childcare provision, and consulting services for employers, alongside a communications platform promoting positive female role models.

WoT reports having created and monitored over 980 mentoring partnerships for unemployed and employed women, and having trained over 1,500 women in skills camps, figures published in its annual activity reports.

Through its combined mentoring, training and employer-facing services, WoT positions itself as a long-running vehicle for reducing gender gaps in the Greek labour market, though the figures are self-reported by the organisation rather than externally evaluated.
