Description

Teachers from the 'Quality School' (One District, One Quality School) network of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon–Samut Songkhram attended an AI-competency training programme, evaluated by Decha Panasee with a four-level Kirkpatrick design (reaction, learning, behaviour, results) in the Journal ASEIJ, 2025.
303 teachers took part. Reaction was rated 4.52/5 overall. On a 20-item multiple-choice test, mean scores rose from 12.45 (62.25%) to 16.78 (83.90%) (paired t = 15.42, p < .001). Observers rated behaviour in training 4.37/5, with 'using AI tools in practice' at 4.22 and 'exchanging opinions and asking questions' lowest at 3.95.
Interviews reported teachers using AI for lesson planning and learning media, and perceived higher student engagement; infrastructure and time constraints persisted.
Caution: no control group, a single-author evaluation, workplace and student-impact claims rest on interviews rather than measured outcomes, and the training length is not reported. The 'One District, One Quality School' policy covers 1,808 schools in academic year 2025 according to Bangkok Biznews.
