Context

The Hub was established in 2015 by the AKTI Project and Research Centre with support from the US Department of State's Global Women, Peace and Security Initiative, to foster women's leadership in Cyprus.

Objectives

To be a support mechanism propelling Cypriot women leaders to become active participants in decision-making across public, private and civil-society sectors, and to build a network of women leaders, emerging leaders, women's organisations, policymakers and influencers.

Activities

The Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS) conducted a gap analysis on second-generation gender bias and women's leadership in Cyprus; the initiative then organised training and networking events bringing together Cypriot women leaders across sectors.
