The Visegrad Women’s Initiative, spearheaded by the Hungarian Women's Career Development Association (AWCDH), is an initiative focused on promoting women’s employment while supporting a work-life balance that meets the needs of family life. The initiative seeks to foster dialogue
The Visegrad Women's Initiative, led by the Hungarian Women's Career Development Association (AWCDH), promotes women's employment and work-life balance across the Visegrad Group (V4) countries — Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia — operating at cross-border and EU level.
It aims to promote women's employment and professional development alongside family-life balance, facilitate multi-sectoral dialogue between government, business, NGOs and academia on gender equality in employment, provide data-driven analysis of the pandemic's impact on women's labour-market position in V4 countries, and share good practices to inform policy development.
The initiative conducts research on the challenges women face in the labour market, particularly post-pandemic, working with experts to gather data and share findings with decision-makers; it also compiles and disseminates successful practices from V4 countries as a blueprint for other regions.
The initiative positions cross-border V4 collaboration as a learning tool that can build stakeholder capacity and inform sustainable, inclusive labour-market policy across Europe; the source material is the promoter's own description, with no independent outcome evaluation identified.
