Vilnius Tech Park — City-backed ICT campus in repurposed 19th-century hospital buildings

Vilnius Tech Park (VTP) was established in 2015 when Vilnius City Municipality partnered with private investors to convert a decommissioned hospital campus in the historic Sapiegos park into the Baltic and Nordic region's largest ICT startup hub. The co-owning institution — public entity Vilniaus technologijų ir meno centras — has five shareholders: Vilnius City Municipality, JSC Akseleratorius, JSC IMI.VC Advisors, JSC Innovative Development, and Šiuolaikinio meno asociacija. The 8-hectare site provides more than 9,000 m² of renovated office space hosting a community of 60+ innovative companies including startups, scale-ups, venture capital funds (Practica Capital, IMI.VC), and accelerators (StartupHighway). VTP has consistently maintained over 90% occupancy since opening. The campus offers co-working desks, private offices, event spaces, and a co-working bistro, and runs regular hackathons and ICT knowledge events. The city's involvement ensures publicly accountable governance over a strategic urban regeneration asset, while private VC and accelerator shareholders guarantee market exposure for resident companies.
