Contexto

Gdansk Science and Technology Park (GPNT) was established in 2006 on the initiative of the Marshal's Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the City of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Technology, and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Ltd. The facility occupies a converted printing plant spanning 40,000+ m2 of mixed-use research, office, and incubation space.

Atividades

GPNT runs a Technology Incubator supporting university graduates and spin-offs, an Acceleration Zone (launched 2024), and the Pomeranian EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub, launched 2024). The park also hosts a 3D Printing Centre, a data centre, advanced laboratories, and conference facilities. It is a member of EBN (EU|BIC Innovation Community), IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation), and the European network of EDIHs.

Resultados

The park hosts 80+ resident companies specializing in biotechnology, IT, and clean-energy technologies, with a 96-97% occupancy rate and 1,700+ events hosted annually. In 2024, GPNT secured PLN 17 million (~4 million EUR) via the Startup Booster Poland - Smart UP programme.
