Mauritania has made significant progress in digital infrastructure and broadband access: WARCIP built approximately 1,700km of fibre backbone between 2013 and 2022, raising population broadband access from 2% to 71% and cutting wholesale prices from roughly US$7,000 to US$54.70 per month.
