3MTT DeepTech_Ready — Nigeria's National Data Science & AI Upskilling Track

Nigeria's 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, run by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, includes DeepTech_Ready — a specialised upskilling track in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Vision and Geospatial Data Science, delivered with implementation partner Data Science Nigeria and support from Google.org (Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy).

DeepTech_Ready targets 20,000 young Nigerians across successive six-month cohorts combining self-paced learning, project-based immersion and job-readiness support, with AI-assisted job placement via Loubby AI and WES Online.

Across the wider 3MTT programme — of which DeepTech_Ready is one specialised track — NITDA reports a 99.6% completion rate across more than 60,000 psychometrically validated assessments, and 67% of the first 30,000-strong cohort secured employment or career advancement within six months of completing training (Technology Times Nigeria). These completion and employment figures are government-reported and describe the overall 3MTT cohort rather than a DeepTech_Ready-specific breakdown.
