Kyle, Texas built a Salesforce Agentforce-powered 311 platform, nicknamed Agent Kyle, letting residents report issues, track fixes on a map and query a chatbot trained on city data — resolving 90% of requests on first contact and closing cases in under 2.5 days on average.
Kyle, a fast-growing city south of Austin, Texas, launched "Agent Kyle" in March 2025: an AI agent platform built on Salesforce's Agentforce for Public Sector to run its 311 non-emergency service line.
Residents use it to report potholes, broken streetlights and other hazards; get a projected resolution timeline; track the status of their request; and see a live map of issues reported elsewhere in the city. A companion chatbot, trained on the city's own public data, answers questions such as the status of a development project, the trash-pickup schedule, or when a local event is happening.
Since launch, residents have submitted more than 12,000 requests through the platform. City officials report that nearly 90% are answered or resolved on first contact, and the average case now closes in under 2.5 days — almost twice as fast as city leaders had targeted. The city is now piloting a voice extension so the same agent can staff a round-the-clock phone hotline.
As with most single-vendor municipal deployments, the reported figures come from city officials and Salesforce's own case study rather than an independent third-party audit of accuracy or equity across the 12,000+ requests.
