Context

El Salvador's Legislative Assembly passed Legislative Decree No. 234 (26 February 2025), creating the National Artificial Intelligence Agency (ANIA) as an autonomous body attached to the Presidency, tasked with coordinating and supervising AI development, promotion and compliance nationwide.
