Description

Bolivia's Contraloría General del Estado (Comptroller General's Office) trains its own public officials through an internal training centre, CENCAP. In May 2026, CENCAP ran the first cohort of "Integración Didáctica de TIC e Inteligencia Artificial para Procesos de Enseñanza en Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje" (Didactic Integration of ICT and Artificial Intelligence for Teaching in Virtual Learning Environments), a 20-academic-hour blended course combining synchronous and asynchronous activities, held 15–31 May 2026 in La Paz.

88 teacher-facilitators completed the course, which covered AI applied to education, the design of digital didactic resources, and automation of academic tasks, alongside use of CENCAP's virtual learning platforms. It was led by Comptroller General Sandra Quiroga Solano and Capacity Management Director Laritza Arenas de Rivera, and forms the first of five sequential modules in CENCAP's 2026 Teacher Training Plan to strengthen pedagogical, technological and methodological competencies among the institution's own teaching staff.

Independent Bolivian press (La Razón) corroborated the participant count and framing. As of publication, no downstream evaluation of classroom outcomes or skills transfer had been released; the available evidence covers programme design, completion, and institutional commitment to a continuing five-module cycle, rather than measured learning gains.
