Context

Digital literacy for seniors, run by Medgidia Municipal Library (Romania) since 2013 in the Biblionet Room, trains senior citizens who want to use computers, Skype, Messenger and Facebook without depending on family, over a two-week, four-hour-a-day course.

Results

Digital literacy of trainees was assessed at the start and end of each course to measure impact; trainer and trainee evaluation forms indicated participants assimilated the concepts and formed new skills. The programme has been successfully replicated multiple times.
