Description

In February 2025 Vedliai announced it would implement Experience AI in Lithuania, in partnership with the Raspberry Pi Foundation and Google DeepMind, with funding from Google.org. The target is 40,000 students aged 11–18 (grades 5–12) over two years.
Teachers start with a workshop (the first at the Education Code conference in Kaunas, 7 March) followed by an 8-session remote course, and receive free lesson plans, slide decks, videos and student activities.
Evidence: Raspberry Pi Foundation's global impact reporting (30,000+ educators trained; 38 partner countries) cites educator surveys with 93% reporting increased AI knowledge and 87% increased confidence in teaching AI, and student surveys with 89% better understanding AI and machine learning. These are self-reported, sample sizes are not stated, and no Lithuania-specific results had been published. Funding comes from a technology company, which warrants attention to independence of content and evaluation.
