Context

On 21 May 2026, Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE), with the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), Meta and developer Publica AI, launched GovGuideNigeria, an AI-powered assistant designed to make government information easier to find, running on Meta's open-source Llama models and accessible through WhatsApp and the web.
