Under the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative, Grenada built GrenadaInfoSAFE, a digital system linking police, health, gender-affairs and statistics agencies to replace paper-based GBV reporting, responding to a 2018 survey finding 29% of women faced intimate-partner violence.
GrenadaInfoSAFE is a digital system, funded by the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative, that integrates the Royal Grenada Police Force, the Division of Gender and Family Affairs, the National Data Centre and civil society to replace paper-based gender-based-violence reporting. The Central Statistical Office serves as the central data hub, aiming to give policymakers consolidated evidence. The system responds to a documented need: the 2018 Grenada Women's Health and Life Experiences Study found that 29% of women reported lifetime physical or sexual intimate-partner violence and 23% reported sexual violence by a non-partner.
The system was developed through 2022, with training rollout to partner agencies beginning in June 2023.
No post-launch outcome data on case volumes or changes in prevalence/reporting rates has been published since the June 2023 training rollout.
