Description

FAHR (Federal Authority for Government Human Resources), the UAE's federal HR regulator, launched a generative-AI “HR AI Agent” in September 2025 that reads and analyses live data from the federal government's HR information system (“Bayanati”) to answer federal employees' HR questions and process self-service transactions without human intervention. It is accessed via the FAHR website or mobile app, 24/7, bilingually in Arabic and English.

The agent automates 80% of employees' self-service HR transactions and provides instant responses to 80% of HR-related legal inquiries, covering more than 50,000 employees across UAE federal government entities through 108 services. It is expected to save around 170,000 work hours annually in technical and legal support within the HR domain. Prior to launch, federal employees had already completed more than one million self-managed HR procedures through existing digital platforms.

Caveat: all figures come from FAHR's own launch announcement; no independent audit of the 80% or 170,000-hour figures has been published. The case is included as a well-specified, if early-stage, internal-productivity deployment.
