Description

Bolivia had no dedicated technology-startup incubation programme until Banco Unión — the state-owned commercial bank — partnered with Fundación Emprender Futuro to launch Incuba Unión Tecnológico in 2023, later joined by accelerator LinkSpace.
The programme runs as a structured bootcamp: technical training, an incubation sprint and expert mentoring culminate in a national Demo Day where finalists compete for seed capital and international-expansion support. The first cohort (1.0) drew nationwide interest and selected five ventures — ECCO BIONICS, DOCIA, AURELIA, JUSNOVA and AQUA TRACK — for seed funding based on growth potential and technological scalability. A second cohort (2.0) awarded Bs 35,000 in prize capital to two fintech finalists at its national tournament.
Across its cohorts to date the programme reports more than 9,000 applications, over 70 teams supported through incubation bootcamps, and Bs 310,000 (roughly USD 45,000) disbursed in economic incentives; a later round reports seven ventures advancing to validation and growth stage. A third cohort (3.0) opened its call in mid-2026, focused on fintech, edtech, agrotech and SaaS ventures, indicating the programme has sustained itself past a single pilot.
All figures above are self-reported by the organisers via Fundación Emprender Futuro's own channels, corroborated by independent Bolivian business-news outlets (Bolivia Emprende, Emprendimientos Bolivia); no independent third-party evaluation of longer-term business survival or revenue impact was found.
