ITU ARI Teknokent is Istanbul Technical University's technology park, established in 2002 under Turkey's Technology Development Zones Law (No. 4691). Located on ITU's Ayazağa-Maslak campus, it spans 1,655,000 m² across 10 buildings — Turkey's largest university-linked science park.
Resident companies collectively employ more than 8,100 R&D personnel and have generated US$11.9 billion in cumulative R&D income and US$1.3 billion in export revenues. Over 6,100 R&D projects have been completed, yielding 148 patents. Knowledge transfer is the core mandate: companies access ITU's engineering faculties, laboratories, and academic supervision, while researchers gain pathways to commercialise discoveries.
In-house accelerator ITU Çekirdek received over 7,000 applications in 2024; 99 portfolio startups secured investment that year. Big Bang — its flagship startup challenge — recorded TL 2.85 billion in investment commitments in 2024. ITU ARI Teknokent startups presented at CES 2024, demonstrating international reach.
