Context

The Ljubljana Declaration, prepared under the Slovenian EU Council Presidency in 2021 building on the Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025, sets six priorities for gender equality in the European Research Area: fair and inclusive research careers with intersectional perspectives, mutual learning, Gender Equality Plans for institutional change, countering gender-based violence, participative monitoring and evaluation, and leveraging synergies with complementary policy fields.
