A free walk-in digital-skills centre run by Monaco's government and Monaco Telecom, opened July 2023 in the Jardins d'Apolline, drew roughly 250 visitors a month (1,500+ in its first seven months) — mostly residents around 65 — for smartphone, app and online-safety help.
Monaco opened the Maison du Numérique in July 2023, run by the Délégation Interministérielle pour la Transition Numérique (DITN) in partnership with Monaco Telecom, offering free digital support Tuesday to Saturday, walk-in equipment stations (smartphones, tablets, PCs, connected TVs, fibre modems, WiFi hotspots) and a multilingual team (French, English, Italian, Spanish).
By February 2024, about 1,500 people had visited the centre (~250/month); the average visitor age is around 65, mostly Monegasques and residents. Programming includes thematic workshops (social media safety, ChatGPT, the "Mon Espace Domaines" e-government portal), an annual "Immersive Week" on AI/VR/metaverse, and sessions for young professionals, parents and people with disabilities.
Coverage describes attendance, not measured skill gains: no independent evaluation or budget figures have been published, and the results rely on self-reported operator/press figures rather than a formal impact study.
