Context

Orange Digital Center Guinea opened in Conakry in December 2022 as the 13th hub in Orange's Africa-Middle East network, occupying 600 square metres and co-financed through the develoPPP partnership between Orange Guinea and Germany's GIZ, acting for the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Activities

The centre bundles four free programmes: a coding school, a Solidarity FabLab digital-fabrication workshop, an Orange Fab start-up accelerator, and access to the Orange Ventures Africa investment fund.

Results

According to Orange Guinea's 2024 corporate responsibility report, the centre trained more than 6,000 young people in 2024, 30% of them women, resulting in over 600 documented socio-professional placements.

Conclusions

No independent (non-Orange) evaluation of learning quality, retention, or job-placement durability has been published, so the placement figures should be read as company-reported rather than third-party verified.
