RO32Annual update (2021) of the Romanian database on women and men in decision-making positions, produced by the National Agency for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men (ANES). Covers politics, public administration, judiciary, business and finance, social partners and NGOs, environment and media, with a particular focus on political power and central public administration.
At central level, there were 714 decision-making posts in 2021 (111 vacant), an occupancy rate of 84.5%. Of occupied posts, 46.1% of decision-makers were men and 53.9% were women — women outnumbered men by 7.8 percentage points. Compared with 2020 (54.3% women), the share of women in decision-making posts fell slightly by 0.4 pp in 2021.
