Technoport - Luxembourg's National Technology Incubator

Technoport was launched in 1998 as a three-year pilot project and became a permanent limited company in 2012. It is Luxembourg's national technology incubator, created by the state to bridge public research and private enterprise, and operates from roughly 4,000 square metres in Belval (on the Belval Innovation Campus) and 8,000 square metres in Foetz, alongside a dedicated Automobility Incubator site that opened in December 2024.
According to Luxembourg's national research portal, more than 150 companies have been hosted at Technoport since 1998, with around 40 technology-oriented companies in residence at any given time across its sites - roughly 30% of them in the space sector (including Spacety Luxembourg and LIFT ME OFF). Companies typically stay for three to four years and can access a free four-month pre-commercial programme before formal incubation.
Public reporting on Technoport is long on activity description but short on outcome metrics: no verifiable, source-confirmed figures on exit counts, survival rates, jobs created or capital raised by alumni were found in the sources reviewed. Some secondary listings cite an unverified '103 exits, 70% survival rate' claim that could not be traced back to a primary Technoport report, so it is omitted here.
