Le dispositif vietnamien de paiement pour services environnementaux forestiers (décret 99/2010) a été la première loi nationale PFES d'Asie, obligeant les entreprises d'hydroélectricité, d'approvisionnement en eau et d'écotourisme à cotiser au Fonds forestier national.
