Context

Kazakhstan has a severe shortage of school psychologists and career counsellors relative to its student population. In 2023, Akzhol Zambayev teamed up with KAIST graduate Bolat Ashim to launch WeGlobal AI, an Astana Hub-incubated startup backed by Nazarbayev University, to give overstretched school psychologists and career-guidance staff an AI-assisted way to keep up with student needs.

Activities

The platform runs regular student well-being surveys, flags risk indicators for follow-up, lets students report bullying, and generates aptitude-based career-path recommendations. It automates report writing and data analysis so psychologists and counsellors can spend more time in direct contact with students rather than on paperwork.

Results

By March 2026, WeGlobal AI was active in 935 schools, had reached over 500,000 students in the preceding three months, had integrated 1,237 school psychologists into the system, and recorded more than 570,000 completed psychological and career-guidance tests. By May 2026, reported reach had grown to over 2,000 schools and more than 1 million students. The venture won a $25,000 grant in the Social Impact category of Astana Hub's Battle Digital Bridge 2025 competition, entered the UK market through the BETT UK exhibition in January 2025, and is preparing pilot projects in British and American schools.

Conclusions

All figures available are self-reported usage and growth metrics from the company and Kazakh business press; no independent third-party evaluation of well-being or career-decision outcomes has been published to date.
