Women Entrepreneurship - The Thrive Project

Start it @KBC supports women entrepreneurs in Flanders through The Thrive Project, offering free webinars by and for female founders alongside individual guidance, aiming to remove barriers that stand in the way of the creation, growth and scaling up of women's companies. The project focuses on women starting, growing or leading businesses in tech, both in the business world and the academic sector.

Eligibility targets female (co-)founders, company shareholders, or researchers involved in an innovative growth company, registered in Flanders, who are either ready to take the next step in a leadership journey or have more than EUR 100,000 in annual turnover or raised capital; women below that threshold may still apply and are reviewed individually by the selection committee. The organisation's goal is for participants to feel fully empowered by the end of the programme, with a new skillset to grow their business.

Guidance is individual rather than group-based: The Thrive Project facilitates a tailor-made coaching relationship with role models, experts and mentors, with a specific focus on 'balanced leadership' so participants can build a career according to their own values. Participants can also register throughout the year for Women in Tech | The Thrive Project webinars for additional insights, and Start it @KBC facilitates networking among participants to exchange best practices.
