Context

WOMENTORS is implemented within the framework of the Active Citizens Fund and led by the Lambrakis Foundation in collaboration with Apostoli Anthropos, addressing the need for women's empowerment in Greece's political, economic and social spheres, and helping participants balance professional growth with personal well-being and family responsibilities.

Objectives

Foster greater participation and leadership among women, equipping them with skills and confidence for their lives, careers and civic engagement; the programme seeks to empower 9,000 young women in the long term.

Activities

Training covers awareness of women's rights and anti-discrimination legal frameworks; advocacy skills for decision-making spaces; professional development for equal labour-market participation; equal-pay advocacy; work-life balance and household-role negotiation strategies; violence prevention; and mental and physical health and well-being.

Conclusions

WOMENTORS aims to build a network of women who serve as lifelong advocates for women's rights, working toward policy change and social transformation, and helping women enter and succeed in the labour market, take on leadership roles, and contribute meaningfully to society.
