Contexto
Latvia Technology Park (LTP) was established in 1996 as one of the earliest public-academic knowledge-transfer bodies in the Baltic states, founded by 11 partners including Riga Technical University, the University of Latvia, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Latvia, Riga City Council, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Latvia.
Objetivos
LTP promotes the commercialisation of science through modern technologies, supporting start-ups and the development of technological and innovative businesses in Latvia.
Actividades
LTP provides management consulting, project development support, marketing assistance and partner-search services to entrepreneurs and researchers.
Resultados
LTP's own public materials describe its mission and founding structure in detail but do not publish company counts, jobs or investment figures for its own portfolio. As ecosystem context, Latvia's capital-region start-up ecosystem counted more than 500 active start-ups creating over 4,000 direct jobs as of early 2025, with enterprise value up 5.3x since 2019, the fastest growth among the Baltic states; notable ecosystem successes include Printful and Printify. These are ecosystem-wide figures, not LTP-attributed outcomes.
