What works in Honduras

Honduras has implemented several initiatives addressing education, environmental management, and political representation. Educación Digital Rural e Inclusiva reached 29 schools and over 1,000 educators in Honduras by co-designing low-tech and digital learning tools for rural communities, though quantified student learning outcomes are not documented. Honduras ParticiPaz trained 60+ women candidates and achieved a documented 6% increase in women elected to the National Congress (reaching 27.3%) and a 45% increase in women's representation in municipal corporations between 2020–2021. Paskaia is a community carbon project in La Mosquitia where Miskito fire brigades protect 1,600+ hectares of pine savanna with approximately 400 hectares of forest recovering by 2022, benefiting 319 families through carbon-credit revenue.
