Erhvervshus Hovedstaden is one of six regional business houses in Denmark. At Erhvervshus Hovedstaden, they help more than 5,000 companies to grow and develop each year through specialized guidance, workshops and program courses.
DK01Erhvervshus Hovedstaden is one of six regional business houses in Denmark, owned by the 29 municipalities of the Capital Region and financed by municipal, state and EU structural funds. It helps more than 5,000 companies a year through specialised guidance, workshops and programme courses, primarily aimed at start-ups and SMEs looking to grow or scale up.
The hub's 2024-2027 strategy aims to build a region with sharply competitive, digital, sustainable and internationalised companies; to make the Capital Region among the best places in the world to start, run and grow a business; and to strengthen SMEs' development potential, sustainability and competitiveness locally and globally.
Companies receive free one-to-one guidance, constructive dialogues, collective events and workshops, after which the hub connects them to its network of private advisers, specialist clusters and other business-promotion partners to execute growth plans. Focus areas under the current strategy are digitisation, internationalisation, sustainability, and start-up and entrepreneurship support.
Companies guided by Erhvervshus Hovedstaden in 2020 had, two years later, increased turnover by DKK 1.45 billion (28.5% more than comparable companies in the capital area), raised productivity by 57% more than comparables, and added 1,044 jobs (47.4% more than comparables).
The hub attributes these results to its network of professionals, close tailored guidance and forward-thinking practices, though this self-assessment is not independently verified. It suggests the model could be governed through performance contracts and framework agreements, with growth tracked via jobs created, exports, turnover, and contribution to digitisation and green transition.
