AprendoLab — Free AI-Assisted Teacher-Training App Launches in Ecuador

In September 2025 the Mexican civil-society coalition Fundación Reimagina launched AprendoLab, a free, downloadable (iOS/Android) micro-learning platform offering teachers short, self-paced training routes on pedagogy, socio-emotional skills, and AI-assisted teaching methods. It succeeds an earlier web platform that Reimagina says has been consulted by more than 1.5 million teachers across Latin America for content, webinars and live sessions — a traffic figure for the predecessor site, not a measured training outcome of AprendoLab itself.

AprendoLab launched simultaneously in Mexico, Chile and Ecuador, where the partner organisation is Universidad Casa Grande in Guayaquil, alongside Mexicanos Primero (Mexico) and Enseña Chile. More than 80 partner organisations from Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Argentina and Mexico contributed content. The initiative was named one of six finalists for the 2025 WISE Prize (Qatar Foundation), a juried innovation recognition rather than an outcomes-based evaluation.

As a newly launched platform, AprendoLab has no published data yet on how many teachers have completed learning routes in Ecuador, nor any measurement of classroom or student impact. It is catalogued here as an emerging, multi-source-verified initiative to watch, with the explicit caveat that its evidence base is currently limited to launch coverage and prior-platform reach claims rather than outcome evaluation.
