Aunjai Cyber: AI Literacy — Thailand's Free National AI Course from MHESI, Chulalongkorn University and AIS

Thailand's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Chulalongkorn University and telecom operator AIS jointly launched an "AI Literacy" course under the existing Aunjai Cyber ("อุ่นใจ ไซเบอร์") digital-safety platform, which has run since 2019.

The course was developed with AI subject-matter experts and covers AI fundamentals, everyday applications, and safe, creative and ethical use. Content is certified by MHESI and delivered free via Thai MOOC, the LearnDi for Thais platform and the Aunjai CYBER app, and is being developed further so that accumulated learning hours can eventually convert into academic credit.

The wider Aunjai Cyber initiative reports over 1.05 million learners since its 2019 launch, and the partners state the new collaboration is designed to reach over 1.8 million people nationwide. These figures describe platform reach and enrolment targets rather than an independently measured gain in AI skills or knowledge specific to the new AI Literacy module, which launched in April 2026.

Because the AI-specific course is new, its own completion and outcome data are not yet available; the evidence here rests on the scale and track record of the Aunjai Cyber platform it extends, plus the credibility of its ministry, university and telecom partners.
