Context

CAM (Centro Ascolto Uomini Maltrattanti), opened in Florence in 2009, was Italy's first centre for men who use partner violence and is now the hub of RELIVE, Italy's national perpetrator-programme network.

Results

CAM's 2022 IMPACT Report, using the EU-funded IMPACT Toolkit, surveyed 30 men and 22 (ex-)partners at four time points and found statistically significant, partner-corroborated decreases in violent behaviours and police calls, and a significant fall in partner-reported fear, anxiety and depression.

Conclusions

This is a single-site, small-sample, self-report evaluation with no untreated comparison group, so it shows within-programme change rather than a controlled causal effect.
