Context

The Centre for Assistive Technology (Open the Windows, Skopje, Macedonia) provides individualised support for computer/internet use, assistive-technology needs assessment and advisory support to people with physical, intellectual and sensory disabilities, delivered by special educators and an IT specialist.

Results

Open the Windows introduced its assistive-technology model into approximately 10% of Macedonia's mainstream primary schools, and is now piloting a similar exercise in Serbia with local organisation EHO.
