CityZone is a smart-city living lab and beta site located at Park Atidim, Tel Aviv. It is a joint initiative of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, Tel Aviv University, and the Atidim business park, launched as an active programme in 2019.
The lab provides urban-tech startups with real-world environments to test and validate solutions in active city infrastructure, including roads, public spaces and smart-mobility corridors. It runs a year-long accelerator programme for Smart City and Smart Mobility startups focused on market readiness, product validation and business scaling.
In 2024, the Israel Innovation Authority selected CityZone (Park Atidim) as one of five national beta sites under a NIS 40 million R&D Infrastructure Fund investment, enabling technology companies to conduct real-world critical infrastructure pilots across smart cities and sustainability. CityZone is a member of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and participates in the EIT Urban Mobility ACCESS TO EUROPE programme, facilitating cross-border market entry for Israeli urban-tech startups. Plans are underway to host Israel's first vertiport for electric aerial vehicles at the site.
