Context

The Government of St Kitts and Nevis, with Canadian firm Protexxa, launched the Cyber Nations Program in February 2025: a six-month CompTIA Security+ training course followed by a 12-month paid industry placement, targeting unemployed and underemployed citizens aged 18+.

Results

The first cohort of 21 graduates (including youth and people with mobility challenges) completed the programme and graduated in November 2025, against a stated target of 100 nationals certified; a second cohort was confirmed to start in January 2026.

Conclusions

The 21 graduates so far are well short of the 100-national certification target and a small fraction of the wider ambition of engaging 25,000 citizens in general digital-literacy activities.
