Montenegro's Judicial Council built an in-house AI-based case-law system, piloted at the Commercial Court, to standardise court practice — backed by an EU-funded NVIDIA DGX H200 server, but with no usage or accuracy figures published yet ahead of a planned 2027 national rollout.
The Judicial Council of Montenegro, through its ICT and Multimedia Department, built an in-house 'electronic court practice system' — described as the first AI-based system in the country's judiciary — intended to standardise case law, improve statistical data collection, and strengthen consistency of judicial decisions.
The system is piloting at Montenegro's Commercial Court, with the Administrative Court next in line, ahead of a national rollout across all courts that the EU Ambassador to Montenegro has targeted for completion by the end of 2027, under the EU-funded EUROL 4 rule-of-law project.
In March 2026, the judiciary's compute backbone for this and future AI work was formalised with the procurement of an NVIDIA DGX H200 server (EUR 394,079), funded by the EU and implemented by UNOPS with Montenegro's Ministry of Justice.
No usage statistics, accuracy figures, processing-time savings, or independent evaluation have been published.
This is an early-stage pilot with real institutional and financial commitment, not yet a measured operational deployment.
