Leeds Federated Housing Association ran HUGO (Helping U Get On-line), a digital inclusion programme combining a mobile 'HUGO bus' internet cafe, a social-media outreach campaign and free broadband/equipment for social-housing tenants across Leeds who were largely digitally excluded and on low incomes.
The programme reported digital support for over 4,200 people, more than 500 new internet users and 86 people supported into employment, and won the Excellence in Digital Engagement Award at the 2015 TPAS Awards.
