Context

NEO FUNDÃO is a Portuguese local school-success programme run by Nota Êxito, Lda. with the Municipality of Fundão since 2017, providing individual online tutoring in Mathematics and Portuguese via videoconferencing to primary-school pupils, alongside training for teachers, principals and parents.

Results

The share of students scoring 'Very Good' in Portuguese rose from 3.8% to 11.5%, and in Mathematics from 7.7% to 23.1%, over the project period; about 250 parents and dozens of teachers/principals were trained, and about 120 children (3rd-6th grade) received individual online tutoring delivered by 15 NEO Tutors.
