Context

Mongolia's One Stop Service Centres (OSSCs) integrate legal, health, psychosocial and shelter services for domestic-violence survivors in a single location, coordinated by the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection with UNFPA and Swiss SDC support.

Results

By the early 2020s, 17 OSSCs operated nationwide (two more added in Ulaanbaatar during COVID-19). Centres served 2,077 survivors in 2017; caseloads rose almost 90% in Q1 2020 versus Q1 2019.

Conclusions

A 2017 national survey found nearly 60% of Mongolian women report lifetime intimate-partner violence, so service reach — while expanding — covers only a fraction of need; outcome-level evaluation remains limited to project reviews.
