Norway's largest science park by companies hosted — 300+ tenants and 3,000+ people on Oslo's Blindern campus adjacent to UiO and Oslo University Hospital. Three incubators (Aleap, Sharelab, Startuplab) have supported 700+ startups total, admitting 68 new companies in 2023.
Oslo Science Park (Norwegian: Forskningsparken) is Norway's largest science park by number of companies, located at Gaustadalléen on the Blindern campus in Oslo, adjacent to the University of Oslo (UiO) and Oslo University Hospital. Established in 1985 and operated by Oslotech AS, the park hosts around 300 companies and more than 3,000 people from academia, research and business in a dense knowledge cluster.
The park houses three incubators: Aleap (focused on women in technology), Sharelab and Startuplab. Together they received 68 new companies in 2023 — 17 for Aleap, 7 for Sharelab and 44 for Startuplab. Since the first incubator opened over a decade ago, more than 700 startups have received guidance and support. Startuplab's Founders Fund had invested in over 170 companies by 2023. Oslotech's published 2023 annual report (Oslotech årsrapport 2023) records a combined financial contribution of NOK 5.8 million to the incubators and over 3,700 meetings in the park's conference centre, including approximately 500 larger events.
The park's co-location with UiO (ranked top 150 globally), Oslo University Hospital, and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health creates a distinctive life-sciences and health-tech cluster, while Startuplab anchors the digital and software startup ecosystem. Aleap's explicit focus on female founders provides a structured inclusion mechanism within the park's incubation offer.
